Pupils are assigned to home rooms al- most as soon as they arrive at Roosevelt, and in these groups they usually remain for the three-year period. If schobl life is to be likened to a symphony, it is in home rooms that tone patterns are made and practiced, modified or completely changed. In the many school contacts pupils reveal how much these patterns mean to them. Home-room teachers do much to bring out each pupil's best; they explain; they help.
