Roosevelt has been inspect- ed by the Fire Department and Police Department, and the in- spection was followed by a fire drill. In the future the Student Safety Council inteds to have more safety programs to promote the safety in and about Roosevelt and to develop each student into a more safety minded person. The Safety Council has worked this year to promote a better safety program in the school. They started this year with a Traffic Safety assembly. To protect the students at Roosevelt, the council placed crosswalks in front of the building, and guards to insure correct traffic pattern. 48 2

Roosevelt High School Red Cross has proved to be one of the most act- ive organizations at Roosevelt. The members helped the community as well as the school. They have spon- sored such things as the Red Cross Dance which was held in February. Any one who enjoys Red Cross and would like to be a member may join. 47 i
