We Dedlca te It takes a wealth of eternal youthfulness to mamtain the same even temper and mterest m boys after thirty five years 1n spite so many d1SC0ll1'ag1l1g and ever present probelms O G Henney d1spos1tion forttmately has these qual1t1es h1s Son you have to follow the rules of the game to a boy carr1es behind lt the under standmg and w1sdom of many years of workmg with thousands of Wyandotte boys Contacts with Mr Henney by students now come largely through h1s talks with them 111 107 but boys of former years remember h1m also as an enthus1astic track coach or much earlier as a shop in structor He has endeavored always to carry his love of sports mansh1p and fa1r play into every phase of h1s educatlonal career O G as h1s colleagues affectlonately call h1m has many f1rsts m h1s record He was one of the f1rst wood shop teachers as well as Rooseve1t's first Dean of Men and Assistant Principal Lleutenant III the Army of World War I he came here from a teachmg post in West V1rgin1a Perhaps most cher1shed among h1s memor1es of firsts is his famous track relay team of 1924 wh1ch held the State Chamiponship for about eight consecutlve years Students parents and teachers allke respect Mr Henney for h1s consistent f3.1I'l'18SS and f1rmness There IB never any doubt about where he stands and he IS always on the Job A loyal booster of all school sports, he spends more time than we all real1ze 1n helpmg w1th athletlc events and m managmg our internal accounting system Th1s year the W A A C Class members feel fortunate 1n hav1ng Mr Henney as the1r sponsor to accompany them on their Exchange trip W1th affection and appreclation we dedicate this armual to O G Henney our Dean of Boys For so many tlreless years of loyal BBTVICG in a Job wh1ch IS often thankless and disheartemng we salute him 111 the knowledge that so many Roosevelt H1gh boys have grown 1nto better men because of his efforts Martha Calvert 3 . . - . . of ' ' A - . . .
