In Memoriam Although to the young death 1S far away its presence was made startlingly near when a tragic accident took the life of one of our classmates The death of B111 Hovis was a distinct shock to all who knew him In the halls B1ll's pleasant smile and good natured attitude was a welcome addition In the classroom Bill was an attentive cooper ative student well liked by his teachers On the gridiron he was a great asset to the team a clean athlete anxious to win if it could be done honestly In his home B111 was a wonderful son He was dependable and very helpful to his mother tak ing over many responsibilities after the death of his father. We pay loving and sorrowful tribute to the memory of a classmate who is no longer with us, but because of his winning personality and wonderful qualities, has made an indelible im pression on our memory. 21 William Clark Hovis

The dramatic talent of the class blos somed out in the Senior Play, Seven Keys to Ba1dpate , w11ich was a mystery comedy type play. The biggest social event of the year was the Senior Prom, Ori ental Escapade . A big form of a Buddah high lighted the decorations Since we were gomg to have a slap weekend we decided to have a car wash and bake sale to fmance it We went to Clear Lake Camp and enjoyed all the winter sports possible Then before we lmew lt grad uation had creeped up on us and the all night party was the next highlight. The Yacht Club made a very perfect setting for our last get together as a class. As we said good bye, we also said hello to a brand new future. cz., is 1 .
