First published in 1922. the Wy-News appears eight times each semester as a five- column newspaper issued tree to all students and faculty members of the school. It is pub- lished by the members of the journalism class. THE SOCIETY OF NATURAL SCIENCE tbiology club! is open to students of high scholarship who have been or are enrolled in biology. The club's purpose is to acquaint its mem- bers with nature and to give recogrlition to superior achievements in the study of nature. With this idea in mind the Intemational Friend- ship Club sponsors an annual International Festival, usually held in November, trips to intemational centers in the Metropolitan area and exchange correspondence with students in various parts of the world. Dele- gates were sent irom the club to the State meeting of Home Economics Clubs last tall. THE GIRLS' ATHI.E'l'IC ASOCIATION helps girls develop skill and enjoyment in sports activities. Organized com- petition is planned in softball. basketball, soccer, track. and volleyball. Participants in the G.A.A.'s program earn points which apply toward a numeral award, letter. placque, and gold pin symbolic of girls' sports activity. Competition is encouraged with the spirit of sport tor fun. An annual field day, in co-operation with girls from many other Metropolitan schools, is one expression of this ideal. THE' CAMERA CLUB is a meeting place for all students who are actively interested in the taking and finishing ot snapshots and other pictures. Members conduct a monthly picture-taking contest, make prints and enlarge- ments, experiment with photographic problems that beset amateur picture-takers. make trips to photographic exhi- bits, and in general act as a stimulant to each other in the sport oi picture-taking and making.
