in finding a place for himself . . . xml Participation in school affairs was promoted by ASR committees. Students who had given service for Roosevelt that would not otherwise have been rewarded were recognized by the Hall of Fame Committee. The committee interviewed and photographed many outstanding individuals, displaying this information in the Hall of Fame showcase. Membership on the Finance, Thrift and Pass Sales Committees gave students an opportunity to share in the financial administration of the school. The Finance committee planned the budget for the year and appropriated money for specific items. Banking was conducted by the Thrift Committee, which also printed notices in the student bulletin and posted signs in the halls. The Pass Sales Committee made signs which publicized and encouraged the sale of passes to fellow students. The Sports Boosters Committee conducted pep assemblies each week to keep the Roosevelt spirit Movin' On. Throughout the year the halls were decorated with spirit-boosting signs made by the committee's members, Pass Sales CommitI:eefBuclz row: Janet Sage, chairman: Paggy Wood, Marilyn Saltman, Lynda Tolbcrt, Joan Foerster, Rudi Bates. Meanwhile, Spades furnished social activities for handicapped persons by arranging parties at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentines Day. Members of this group also acted as aids for physical and occupational therapists. To keep the students of RHS informed, the ASR Bulletin Board Committee publicized school functions by maintaining informative and attractive bulletin boards While the Publicity Committee made posters for ASR and wrote articles for Inter-High Publicity concerning activities at Roosevelt.
