Through ASR committees, students worked together to serve Roosevelt's student body and faculty, As a part of this service, the Traflic Safety Committee organized student and teacher auto registration, promoted Traflic safety tips-of-the-week. i'Safety tips-of-the-week. The Alumni Committee collected and filed clippings on Roosevelt graduates and invited the alumns to Homecoming. The Traditions Committee worked for greater student awareness of the traditions on which our school life is based by presenting the Traditions assembly and sponsoring Color Week. The daily student bulletin, was prepared by the Student Bulletin Committee, while the Community Relations Committee promoted a neighborly feeling between the school, merchants and home owners by cleaning up the grounds. All preparations for school dances were made by the ASR Dance Committee. Following its theme, 'AMovin' On, Roosevelt's student government pushed ahead an active and varied program. The ASR was headed by the officers, the cabinet, the advisory council, and the student council. This year. the council provided two new amendments to the Constitution, one establishing the position of Speaker of the Council and the other adding the Speaker of the Council and the Inter-High Executive to the student cabinet. ASR committees carried through projects initiated by the governing bodies. Special committees were established to work at Fircrest, find summer jobs for students, and to paint the activity center.
