Reed Fulton, Pnhcdaal OPENING DOORS to opportun- ity. These words might well por- tray the work of our principal, Mr. Reed Fulton, who, in a very real sense opens doors of learning to countless students. His reassurance and intelligent interest enable us all to appreciate him as a 'friend and guide. Mr. Fulton's training began in small Washington schools, culmin- ating in a degree from Washing- ton State College. He began opening doors for others at Sno- homish, where he founded the first high school newspaper in the Northwest. Following posi- tions held at Broadway and Bal- lard High Schools, Washington State and the University, he be- came principal of West Seattle High. Seventeen years later, in 1951, he came to Roosevelt as our principal. As evidence of his creativeness, Mr. Fulton will publish his eighth book shortly. He takes time, also, for family recreation with his wife and two married daughters. For all of us, he offers an invi- tation to a way of happiness as we enter the doors opened by this educator and friend.
