The Teds' first scoring chance came when Young flipped a ten-yard pass to Bean on the Grizzly six-yard line. Three plays later Bean cracked over for the score. .lohnston's try-for-point was good and the Teds led 7-0. A few plays later Peringer intercepted a Q. A. pass and returned to the Grizzly 32-yard line. Two passes from Bean to Don Pierce accounted for another touchdown and the Cowan Parkers led 'I3-0. After the kick-off, Jack Wilbourne completed three long passes to the Roosevelt 21-yard line. With 35 seconds to go Wilbourne circled right end for a touchdown to end the first half. Speedy Don Pierce put six more points on the scoreboard by inter- cepting a Q. A. pass and going all the way for a touchdown.
