Anticipated by all students throughout their four years of high school. it is the culminating event of their school life. lt was held this year on -lune 10 with Ber- nard Coleman, Kathleen Gallanar, Diane Geller- inan, Ruth Herzog. Bonnie llolway, Diana Thorpe, and W'ayne Timberlake as commence- ment speakers. The theme was, Twenty-five Commencements at Roosevelt. Seniors voted to wear caps and gowns, the girls wearing white and the boys royal blue. Members of the senior class who worked con- sistently behind the scenes to make the twenty- fifth anniversary commencement exceptionally successful were jim Eastman, Bill Eaton, Sharon Hagerty, and llud Inkster. The class extends its thanks to Miss Roe and N iss Dueber who organized and co-ordinated senior activities and who were indefatigable in their efforts to assist with all senior plans. To the school the classes of '47 and '48 pre- sented an electric scoreboard for the gym. This is but a short history of the activities planned and executed by the Class of 318. The seniors are now ready to embark upon a new era of their lives. Looking -back they wish again to express their gratitude to the class sponsors as well as to those teachers who have helped to make their years at Roosevelt so successful. The seniors carry into the future a rich heritage gained from their high school experience and a responsibility to exemplify in their lives the knowledge, the ideals and the moral values the school has encouraged.
