a am . The Roosevelt homecoming game was one of the best games of the year. The Rough Riders beat the Lee Volunteers by a score of 9 to 7. During the halftime the band played the music of 'fThe Homecoming and Yester- daysi' while the Homecoming Queen and King were announced. Our new Principal, Mr. John Wells and the Presi- dent of the Theodore Roosevelt Student Council, Melissa Morales, made the presentations to the King and Queen. The Queen for Homecoming '85 was Diana Tse, and the King was Jim Nix. After the announcement of King and Queen, the band played a royal fanfare for them as they lead the other members of the court off the field. Roosevelt finished off the game with a field goal and only about 30 seconds left. The football team and the coaches did a great job of making the Homecom- ing game a very special event.
