EET INTIQ 'PHE EREIIQVE This past school year new fashions, trends, and exciting looks arose. Plaids, flowers, and Paisley prints added a special touch to the fashion trend. Mara Garza said, Fashion is a really neat thing to get involved in. The 'fNew Wave look was totally different all together. Plaids with prints, long shirts and over-sized shirts topped off this new look. Popular accessories included berets, Grandma's jewelry, add-a-beads, shrimps, long beads, and colored hose. Shopping for high fashion was done almost everywhere. f'The best place to shop is The Limited, said Patty Johnson. Trends were also a very exciting part of the year. Sending a special message to a special person was done through the help of the Gulf sign on the corner of Walzem and the Pan Am Expressway. Anyone could send birthday andfor good luck messages. Another way to send messages was through a balloon-a- gram. The cost of the balloon-a-gram ranged from twenty to thirty dollars. Over the summer teens between the ages of fourteen and nineteen found new places to party. San Antonio welcomed several teen night clubs. 6'My favorite teen club is Imagej, said Robyn Ford but there are many more such as: Stuffs, Tripper's, D.Jfs, and Mr. G's. The average cost of admission to the clubs was 34.00. Inside you could pur- chase non-alcoholic beverages and dance to the beat of your choice of songs.
