3 'I ri , Riders tied by tradition i T Roosevelt is one of San Antonio's largest cliques - 3,000 strong. All are apart of the same mold. Hundreds more used to be involved in the select group, now they are alumni -- removed from TR's daily experience but forever tied by the recurring cus- toms. . They haven't forgotten the symbol of our school pride, the Big Stick, or how it felt to see the Vlhndcrest Tower lit up in honorof our victory. They don't know, though, that the cafeteria now has an outsideeating area or that the east parking lot is filled 'with portables as witness to our expansion in new fields of study. A Hundreds more will be welcomed into the TR clique. Never knowing that the once vacant fields were a favorite necking spot, the future Riders will dis- cover new places to seek privacy. Cel- ebrations of new victories will be theirs, Rediscovering old traditions will forever unite graduates of the 60's and 70's with those of the 1980's.
