Choir President Voices Leadership Chosen Choir president of the 1973-'74 year was DEBBIE RABY. DEBBIE will probably be remembered throughout the history of Roosevelt, because it was during her presidency that the Choir won an unmatched number of honors and awards. Debbie has been a four-year choir member and has distinguished herself in U.I.L. competition J S, in her own right. Like many other involved students, DEB- BIE's activities are widespread. She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta and a member of National Honor Society in addition to her other honors.

Being a drum major involves more than rank and prestige, it involves shaping a group of musicians into a top-notch band. It is the drum maior who has all eyes upon him as the band steps onto the field. For two years RICHARD MILLER, an all-district tuba player himself, has been drum major of the Rough Rider bandg for two years he has led the band to countless awards and honors including one of three feature bands of the Fiesta Parade. Besides his musical accomplishments RICHARD also takes part in other school activities. Cadet Colonel HAROLD C. lWOODYl DAVIS, JR., not only served as Corps Commander of the Roosevelt ROTC, but also served as president of the Student Coun- cil. Active in many school and civic affairs, WOODY had the distinction of being selected as the second place win- ner in the Boys Division of the Elks National Youth Leader- ship Contest along with a 51,750 Educational Certificate. Under his leadership the Student Council initiated a cam- pus beautification program, made a chain boundary for the smoking area, opened Student Council meetings to all interested students, distributed lD's and worked for the improvement of student facilities.
