Some students were less than satisfied with the early morning breakfast at Viking Village, but some thought it was great. The spirit of Homecoming was apparent as a cake was presented to the football team.  Lasso that Lad — Sadie 1979 Lasso that Lad was the theme for the annual Sadie Hawkins held at the Highland Hills Ski Chalet November 3. Sadie marshalls were kept busy serving doughnut holes, not apple cider, and frosty rootbeer. Another task faced by the marshalls was keeping a sharp lookout for any unguarded guys and hauling them off to jail. Most managed to get sprung by their gals with a quick kiss or a 5 t bail. The selection of Daisy Mae and Lil Abner highlighted the evening as Liz Christianson and Kurt DeMarais were the chosen pair of the dance. Other highlights included swingin' partners and stompin feet to the sound of square dancing music or rushin' off to proposal rock and eventually tying the knot by Marryin' Sam. The evening was topped off with couples going to such places as Sha-key’s or Cicero s. The success of the event was attributed to co-chairpersons Tammy Cragg and Leslee Bayerl.
