On Saturday, January 21, couples started out the evening at coketail parties. They went on to the Marquette Inn Ballroom where couples danced to the music of Streeter. Afterwards couples went to restaurants such as Murray's, Charlie's and the Orion Room. Many went up on the IDS observation deck, and admired the city lights. HERITAGE The purpose of Heritage Day is to better acquaint the students with the cultures and languages of other countries. This year students presented songs and dances of French, German, Black American, Spanish and Vietnamese heritage. America is made up of people from many countries. Heritage Day is a good way to learn about some of the people who built our country. Congratulations to chairpersons Jim Bell and Diane Davidson. They did a great job. 28 — Heritage Day
