It is the Senior year in which one begins to realize that the distant far-in-to- the -future day when one must leave the high-school playground and take on the responsibilities of an adult is not quite so far-into-the-future . In fact, it is fast approaching. For this reason, the student, in his senior year, decides to make it his one last fling , his Best Year before venturing into the cold cruel world awaiting him. For most the years spent at Roosevelt will bring pleasant memories, though for some it well be a relief to be out of the little circus of high school . (And, alas, into a bigger one.) Oi that fateful day, as he stands, adorned in cap and gown, clinging to his diploma, he may be remembering when he first walked the halls of Roosevelt in search of his homeroom. Fresh, green, a little shakey - a sophomore. He recalls his junior year, when the novelty of high school had worn off and status of being a senior was yet to come... then his senior year, filled with special events, apprehension of what was to come AFTER high school, and the warmth of familiar faces and surroundings. All of this has gone too quickly, it seems, and each of us must go our sep-erate way. But with us we will take the memories of die happy times we shared with friends in our three years at Roosevelt.
