Homecoming 1970 .. was the crowning of King Bruce and Queen Mary during the Thursday audito-um. The teachers with their dazzling performance of Swan Lake, and display of lajestic physique provided the entertainment. Ginny Buck sang, the Rockettes anced, and a Blue Tri skit completed the program. Loyal Roosevelt Seniors rose early Friday morning to attend the annual Home-oming Breakfast, which started at 6:30 at the Sveden House. They dined on a morgasbord of eggs, sausage, and rolls, while Mr. Freeman Mclnroy gave an en-ouraging pep talk and an octet sang a number of songs. After the breakfast was the morning pepfest on Gowans Field. Seniors rose victo-ous over South (underclassmen) with a score of 71-0 in the powderpuff football ame. The boy cheerleaders were out to inspire Teddy spirit with their beautiful gs and graceful somersaults. Cheerleaders, Rockettes, and Homecoming Attend- ts rode in convertibles around the field, while the King and Queen rode on a at specially designed for them. tension mounted at 3:00 when kids, armed with confetti and popcorn, began to ssemble on the stands. Everyone was in great spirits for the game. The Teds defeat-id the South Tigers 13-12. Our defense came through in the fourth quarter as they eld South on a two point conversion try. This play assured us that our team would Weigh Down South. Friday night couples danced to the music of the Fairchilds as they attended the inual semi-formal.
