Seniors Present “Up the Down Staircase Cast members of Up and Down Staircase discovered that playing school is hard work. The play is a comedy depicting the trying experiences that a new teacher encounters in a city high school. While rehearsing for the play, many cast members found striking similarities between Roosevelt and Calvin Coolidge High School in New York where the play takes place. The play, under the direction of Miss Sampson and student-director Jill Aldrich was presented on March 19 and 20 after many hours of memorization and rehearsal. His dog piddled on his homework! My. what a fun play. Bill Brenner’s mind wanders.
