Steiner looks on. 12 Class to Lockers, Then Just tvvo more classes! This is the feeling Teddies have alter returning to class from lunch. Eventually, the 3100 dismissal bell rings. There is a rush to lockers. Some students prepare to leave loaded with books, but others leave empty handed. Students hurry dovvn the stairs, tour abreast, and joins others in the front hall. Telephone booths are busy with one call alter another. Many students pile into cars and buses, others remain at school to re- ceive help trom teachers or attend meetings. Lund, member of the Pilot's Club, offers programs to D. Kleckner and her date. We Return to R.H.S. for Varied Evening Programs Evening events provide R.H.S. parents, Teachers and students with still another opportunity to use and enioy the school building. Friday night dances bring many students back to school. Sometimes the music is soft and sweet, while at other times it has a definite iive beat. Records are used for Sock Hops, but for the occasional dressy dances, Roosevelt's Swing Band performs. Concerts, the Senior Class Play, class parties or the all-school talent show, along with regular Parent-Teacher-Student Association meetings also make use of the school's facilities. However, the school is soon empty. Floors are swept and doors are locked. Only the iangling of ianitor's keys can be heard as the lights are turned out on a full day at Roosevelt High.
