Hi-Y The Roosevelt Hi-Y is one of the oldest organizations in the school. It was organized in 1926 and has been active ever since. As the name implies, the club is related to both school and the YMCA. Its purpose is to create, maintain, and extend throughout the home, school, and community high standards of Christian character. Membership in Hi-Y is open to anyone regardless of race, color, and creed as long as he subscribes to the stated purpose. Besides regular weekly meetings, Hi-Y members participate in social activities and service projects. Club members help raise funds for school projects by operating the concession stands at home football games. During the past year, Hi-Y members participated in other service projects.
