Girls who are interested in home economics join Future Homemakers of America to further their interest in this always-important subject. Through their many activities during the year, these girls come to know the various phases of home economics in and out of school. The FHA pin is octagonal in shape, representing the eight purposes of the national organization. The central design is a home supported by two hands, one a girl's and one a boy’s, symbolizing that the homes of tomorrow rest in the hands of today's youth. Around the top is the name of the organization, and around the bottom is the motto, Toward New Horizons. Representatives of the Roosevelt chapter attended both the district and state conventions. A $50 scholarship is given each year to a senior majoring in home economics. Bottom row: Myhre, Kambcitz, Goranson, Lavclle. Mrs. Hunt, adviser; RUTH JOHNSON. VICE-PRESIDENT: Hafvcnstein. Matson.
