W. P. VON LEVERN, after 28 years ot leadership, leaves a lasting imprint on the students, graduates, teachers, and parents of the Roosevelt High School community. His love tor boys and girls, his taith in their maturing iudgment and willingness to accept responsibilities have made Mr. von Levern a triend and champion ot youth. Under his direction Roosevelt High School has evidenced a steady growth in self discipline through student participa- tion in school government. Strict adherence to his ideals ot sound educational principles and a willingness to experiment have characterized Mr. von Levern's philosophy. Always wanting the best in taculty, building, and equipmen't, Mr. von Levern has doggedly persisted in his determination to achieve one ot the tinest schools in the city. Roosevelt High School and its thousands of graduates stand as a memorial to the professional lite ot Mr. von Levern. To Mr. von Levern, for his understand- ing and cheertul cooperation, this 1954 Sagamore is sincerely dedicated.
