Ethics Committee This group ot boys and girls work in the council office, typing and tiling. Also a part ot their iob is to meet with students who have received conduct slips in the study halls and to penalize them. Our Ethics Committee Row 'I: Dean, Carlson H., Purcell. Row 2: Nierson, Stacy, Sack. Student Council Our Student Council, headed by Mr. Strandiord, is the spark plug ot our school. Its members are elected from each home- room and serve a one year term. They meet at designated times each week and discuss student conduct and cooperation in the lunchroom, in study halls and at ath- letic games. This group plans our Homecoming and Winter Carnival Days. They work hard to organize these activities. Another part ot their job is the management of our student organized lunchroom. Several boys are appointed by the council to supervise our lunchroom habits and conduct. Each year a Service Trophy is awarded by the council to the person who has con- tributed most to the school in the line ot service. It is a great distinction to be awarded this trophy as only one senior boy O F F l C E Vernon Schwarzkopf - . . We hear this request in our student governed study halls. It is the duty ot the student chairman and several other boys and girls to keep order, to check passes, and to take attendance in a roomtul ot boisterous teenagers. Each chairman is ap- pointed by a head chairman and tries hard to carry out his responsibility. Council Office Help Office Help Each period ot the day with the helptul supervision ot Mr. Strandiord and the ot- tice help chairman, Tom Hughes, these boys and girls attend to the many and varied duties of keeping our student coun- cil ottice in good order. Their job consists of tiling study hall passes, typing bulletins, and maintaining a service point and pro- gram record tor every student in school.
