That is what you might hear it you chanced to enter a meeting ot the National Forensic League. The goal ot this organization is to encourage all torms ot speech activities. The club, organized and advised by Mr. Osterhus, is one ot the two chapters ot the nation that has had a representative at every national contest ot the N. F. L. To join the club a candidate must have competed against other schools in at least one speech activity tor which he re- ceives N. F. l.. points. Atter re- g g 4 ceiving 20 points, he is entitled to membership and atter earn- ing l5O points, he is eligible to a silver lcey inlaid with a jewel. The divisions ot the club are debate, oratory, dramatics, and poetry. Students may partici- pate in any ot these activities. HH' fellows Are Keepers of fire Books The l-li-Y seelcs to carry its share ot service tor the school through activities such as: the l-li-Y secondhand book room, the sale ot concessions at tootball games to provide money tor athletic banquets, the IOB get-acquainted mixer, and the pre-Easter service. This year the banquet which the l-li-Y gave tor the l939 Teddy Football squad was lauded by the guests as the best ever. Membership is open to any boy in school who subscribes to the purpose and is willing to forward the aims ot the club. Mr. Weum is the tacultyadviser, and Lyndy Cederblade is the Y. M. CA. Secretary.
