' :za To those who are planning a busi- ness career, the connnercial depart- ment has much to offer. lt gives the connnercial students an education that will fit them for office work and will train them in otlice etiquette. In the tenth grade the students take bookkeeping, and as they ad- vance they are given typing, short- hand, and business English. ln the senior year the pupils are given office practice to acquaint them with office habits. A scholarship in a business school is given each year to the senior who has done the most outstanding work. 11

The purpose of the Art Depart- ment is to give art students various techniques in fine and eomniereial arts and praetieal approaches to his- toric' and applied arts. The eliief stress is placed on developing the stu- dents' ereative abilities. Although there are now only three 'lr Bliss H. Ensox 'ff Bliss G, Fmon fb teaehers in the department. we expect this department to expand. To those students who are handi- capped by a defieieney in sight, the Sight Saving' llepartlnent offers an opportunity to earrv on their required work in a nornial aniount of time.
