WILL WE REMEMBER — When we first came to Roosevelt High School The 25th Anniversary Showdown and Alumni Show Miss Fifield reading announcements in assembly How proud we were of our State Champion Football Teams The all-day assemblies The smell from chemistry room The Athletic Hall of Fame Mr. Murphy and his geometry class The basketball tourney game with Washington Senators Mr. Simon's popular plaid shirt The girls asking the boys to the 'Turnabout” The fun decorating for the Wintertime Formal Bill Holzbach as the football star That one point in the exciting Froebel game. The silk scarf and sweater fad The many clever signs in the halls When Dan Love made his first touchdown That we lost the Regionals to Hammond by only 3 points The big smiles on Coaches' faces after a touchdown How the Brown Derby came . . . We hope to stay . . . Those 2 cent noon day dances Miss Carlos's Theory Tests Ray Pavich saving those close games Mr. Anderson and his quizzes How we cried when we lost our first football game after 34 straight The enthusiasm at all the Washington-Roosevelt games The Carolers strolling through the halls at Christmas time Taps being sounded on Memorial Day Your first Junior-Senior Prom The impressing Y-Teen candlelight services The success of Seventeenth Summer Miss Lowrey worrying about debates Hearing Miss Swatts read Macbeth as only she can How surprised we were at the Purple White Party How shy?? the boys were at the freshmen dancing classes The five minute rush between classes Mr. Keller supervising at every concession sale The times we had making signs for big games That our class actually started the Scholastic Hall of Honor Those thrilling homeruns at the spring baseball games The sunburn, sand, and fun at the senior class picnic How elated we were to be the first class with white caps and gowns Washington seniors joining us in the Baccalaureate service Marching up the aisle to Auld Lang Syne How sorry we were to leave Roosevelt High Our last day in high school OF COURSE WE WILL!!!
