SENIOR CLASS OF 1 9 4 7 A glow of pride fills the hearts of 73 boys and 68 girls as they bring their senior year to a close. The members of the class of '47 have a right to be proud of their many achievements and honors. Reese Smith, president of the student government, received the Roosevelt High School Silver Medal for boys and Juliet Kel- ler received the Roosevelt High School Medal for girls. Marjorie Fisko, who aspires to be a great scientist, received the Bausch and Lomb Science Award 1Gold Medalib. Gerald Seifert won the C. C. Smith Gold Medal for boys. The D. A. R. Citizenship Award went to Doro- thy Hawkins. James Severns re- ceived the Abe Ottenheimer Memorial Gold Service Medal for boys and Paul Pokrifcak re- ceived the Pat McShane Memo- rial Athletic Award fplaquel. Marilyn Pease received the Kap- pa Kappa Kappa S150 Scholar- ship to Indiana Univ. Extension. Gerald Marsh received the Del- ta Sigma Kappa S100 Scholar- ship, while Diana Gima, Barbara Marlowe, and Mildred Paviehe- vich S150 Scholarships to Indiana University Extension.
