Scholarship leadership character and service are set up as the ideals of the Roosevelt Ariston Chapter of the National Honor Society. Members elected to this organization are judged according to this yardstick'. From the Fresh- man year. students aspire to acquire the coveted Honor Society pin. Sponsored by Mrs. Lenora Clark this club chose Lillian Hoffmann as its president. Its many activities included selling pop and ice cream at the Frolic serving tea to a class on Tuesdays and to teachers on Thursday, selling reserved seats for school plays and concerts hearing entertaining speak- ers at monthly meetings and putting on Mrs. Jar- leys Wfaxworks for the Showdown. Ushers. Twenty-nine well-groomed good-looking boys wearing white ushers rubbons conducted the Roosevelt audiences to their seats in the new auditor- ium. Because of their outstanding ability, George Wilson and Mike Sargovetz were chosen as head ushers by sponsor, Mr. Fox. The courteous service which the ushers gave is greatly appreciated. Senior Dramatic Club. Preparing plays for as- semblies to enjoy was the chief work of the Senior Dramatic Club. Under the direction of its sponsor Miss Corrienne Lowry a cast composed of Rosemary Heslin Loretta Ginther Hugo Pancheri Clarence Fauber Frances Hayden Constantine Tsaros Irene Czuba and Russell Witte presented a play for the assembly program on April seventh. Members of the Senior Dramatic Club are selected by their ability and theatrical talents. Skits are prepared and presented before the organizations and the best are chosen for school programs.
