Someday - perhaps in the near future, the majestically beauti- ful effects produced by light will have an artistic appeal com- parable to those of music, art, drama, and the written word. This age is rapidly developing an appreciation for the unusual advantages and the numerous possibilities of the use of light. Floodlighting has done much to promote this appreciation. Modern architects are using floodlighting as a dynamic means of effective architectural embellishment. 'l ts! 7 fVineZ'een'7f14?114f- As monuments and buildings, impressive by day, take on a new beauty when illumined with concentrated beams from floodlights, leaving in the hearts of all who pass by a memory which cannot be easily oblierated, so we, in this Round-up which we have called FIoodlighting Nineteen Thirty-seven, hope to preserve the beauty of this school year and to etch it, forever, in the memory of Roosevelt High School students.
