Student government in our house has proven itself to be just what it is-an efficient, democratic program whereby natural leaders are given the opportunity and encouragement to display their abilities. Among the various organizations which constitute our student government is the Student Leadership Class, which plans and executes the school's activities and consists of the elected student body officers and club presidents. Here they learn the devious processes through which a government must act. They pave the way for better progress. The Student Council members are the law-making branch of our student government and make the main decisions, always acting within the limited powers which are assigned them. All chartered club presidents are entitled to membership in the Student Leadership Class, of which Miss Nancy King is the teacher. With a record of student leadership behind them, the student leaders of today may well emerge as the leading citizens of IOIUOITOW.
