A few brief moments on the wharf at San Pedro l-larbor is interesting because of the various types of crafts that come and go, each bearing its own particular burden. It is significant that the theme, Ships, has been selected for our school annual, since within the school so manyinteresting activities exist, and, like ships, these activi- ties differ in many respects. One ship, the Round-up for I935, has left the harbor with her cargo and has gone out to sea with each owner of the annual a destined port. May her cargotof interesting activities of the school prove entertaining and valuable to all. --G. MILLAGE MONTGOMERY. o ll o

Our lives are like a series ot voyages on the sea of lite. We embark with joy- ous anticipation on each new venture to see, to experience and to enjoy. Some have clear sailing, others are beset by calms, storms, dritting currents, and ship- wrecks, and when we finally arrive at our point ot debarkation express the joy ot a successful journey's end. The members ot the graduating class have reason to be happy over the comple- tion ot a most interesting and successful voyage in which they have experienced outstanding achievement in many. activi- ties. But this is only one ot many voyages and those ot us who continue on with the good ship, Roosevelt High, wish them every success and Bon Voyage. s -MAURICE G. BLAIR. To you who, at this time, are setting sail from Port Theodore Roosevelt with your charts prepared tor certain points ot destination, and with your cargoes ot de- veloped aptitudes and directed activities. we send our best wishes tor a successful, happy voyage over the sea ot Lite. For the rest ot us who are tarrying longer in our harbor to better develop our aptitudes and activities, we desire greater approximation to our ideals betore we. too, set sail across the uncharted seas to our unknown destinations. -BESSI E FRAN KL!
