gaedezfdalf' Wilson Uakel Eison, big man in Gary Roose- velt's march to the final game of the Indiana State High School Basketball Tournament has been named player No, l- Mr. Basketball - for the two battles slated with Kentucky's All- Stars June l8 and 20, l955. Selection of Eison as Mr, Basketball mark- ed the first time in All-Star history the No. l star has come from northwest Indiana. Eison is also the first Roosevelt player ever to represent his school on an All-Star team. Hoosier fans will remember Eison as the long string-bean, he's 6-41A and l7O pounds, who single-handedly kept his team in the game against Crispus Attucks before bowing out, 97-74, in the scoringest final game in state tournament history. Eison dropped 3l points to lead both teams in scoring and ended with a 97-point total for his four games in the Sweet Sixteen, an all- time mark, eclipsing the 9l-point record held jointly by Bill Garrett and Dee Monroe.
