Counsellors Counselors give much of their time to help students map our the courses they will rake during their years in high school. Counselors are always on hand to give needed advice on any matter and to help students to choose subjects which they, as individuals, will get the most benefit and enjoyment from. The guidance students receive from their counselors help them to develop more fully during their high school years. Miss Leola Craig Miss Craig, administrative vice principal, supervises all girls functions. She is also in charge of Rally, Pep squad, the Junior Class, cap and gown committees, supervising the prom, ticket and student body card sales, and school finances. Vice Principals 14 Mr. Jack McLeod As classroom visitation supervisor, Mr. McLeod spends much of his time touring classes and compiling reports on the teachers. Freshman Class activities, library services, bookroom rentals, A.V.A., class programs, and schedules are also under his supervision. Mr. George Hysmith Administrative vice principal in charge of discipline of the boys at Roosevelt is Mr. Hysmith s main job. Other activities placed under his supervision include athletic contests, guidance and counselling, movies, dances, cafeteria committees, auto and bike registration, assembly patrol, and faculty assignments. He is also in charge of all Sophomore Class activities. Supervising Baccalaureate seating, processional, recession, anti parroting assemblies also fall under his jurisdiction.

Larry McClure English Bevins Stocking English, Dramatics John Lashley English English There is a four year English program which all students must take. Freshmen English is combined with the social studies class. Sophomore English includes drama, poetry and short stories while Juniors also study drama, poetry and the American novel. Seniors study World literature or English literature depending on whether or nor they are college bound. John Hatpin finds that consecration and study are the first steps in acquiring good grades.
