As the end of the term draws near, the class of '51 faces dimmer prospects than those faced by any other class. However, we are thankful for what we have learned under the guidance and leadership of the Roosevelt faculty. While we prepare to don our caps and gowns, we think back over our high school experience. Most of us came to Roosevelt as seventh graders and were pretty much bewildered by this huge campus. When we reached the ninth grade, we began to feel more like high school students. Don See and Doug Guske were the iunior high presidents that year, and they were good ones too. ln the tenth grade we began ioining clubs, taking part in high school activities and thinking about growing up. Don See again took up the gavel and became our class president. Following the custom, we selected our rings and chose yellow for our sweater color. As iuniors we became an important part of the school. Our play, Abie's Irish Rose, was a dynamic success. With Dick Jones as president, we made many of our proiects successful and by the end of the term we were all set to take over the school as Seniors. Suddenly we were seniors. Yes, it was almost a surprise. We made Doug Guske our president for the year and then began a fast moving and eventful school term. Again we scored a dramatic success when we staged You Can't Take lt With You. Once again Don See became president, this time of the student body. Charlie Ray was his successor in the Spring term. Now as we leave Roosevelt, each one will go his own way and the class of '5l will be disbanded, but the bond which holds each of us to his own memories will never be broken.
