Fully aware of this truth, our school has provided for extrafcurf ricular opportunities in one arc of its Circle of Education. Participaf tion in activities serves to smooth the rougher ground of academic work as they add spice to the routine of the classroom. In turn, the lessons of the classroom may find practical application in one's chosen activity. Then again, participation in activities helps to def velop better adjusted personalities. By joining organizations the students have an opportunity to make contacts with others who have similar interests. There are the band, orchestra, and chorus for those musically inclined, drama, def bate clubs, the Weekly and the Speakers' Bureau for those who crave expression, and the Student Council for those who desire to take part in solving the problems of our school. Graduation brings reminiscences of happy times in our chosen activity. We have learned that work without play is dreary, and play Without Work is folly. The knowledge of this worthwhile truth should prove invaluable to us as we take our place in the activities of adult society. X ' A is . --4 ,x . X a , X' xt- rd! X ii
