DEDICATIO MR. GERALD COLAIO Mr. Gerald Colaio is an integral part of Roosevelt High School. He has been a dedicated guidance counselor here for over a decade. In his time here, he has used his vast skills and re- sources to ease the burdens placed on Roosevelt students in areas such as scheduling and the college selection process. He himself attended both Iona College and Columbia University Before coming to Roosevelt, Mr. Colaio was no stranger to the Yonkers Public School System. His involvement in it began as a teacher at Emerson where he taught both social studies and Spanish. He then went on to teach social studies at Burroughs. Mr. Colaio is not satisfied by simply fulfilling his duties as a guidance counselor. He is currently an active member of the Human Relations Committee and was involved in the recent formation of the Yonkers Interschool Council. He helps with the Homecoming Dance, Ring Night, and the College Fair. In addition, he attends the Senior Prom every year. Mr. Colaio is truly a Renaissance Man. It is with the utmost pride that We dedicate our yearbook to our guidance counselor . . . and friend.
