It would be difficult to forget her courage in the face of adversity, her personal interest in each of her students, her keen wit and facile pen. The memory of her indomitable spirit is an added testimonial to her qualities of kindness and intelligence. When the office of assistant principal was created this year at Roosevelt, Mr. Robert S. Wheelock was the logical choice for the posi- tion. One of the original faculty members, Mr. Wheelock has long been a favorite of Roose- velt students, whether regaling them with stories of his golf prowess, explaining the ffafmf 491 Wieekvi intricacies of physics, or lending a sympathetic ear to a tragi-comic tale of woe.
