A special meeting featured a panel discussion in which students, parents, and teachers presented their views on the abolition of the student dress code. The PTA-subsidized orientation film on school life at Roosevelt High was viewed by parents for the first time during the second Open House meeting in January. NIATHER, MR. Aside from their daily tasks, the staff served refreshments at school socials and at special PTA func- tions. Mrs. Kikumi Miyasato represented Hawaii at the Arizona School Food Service Association,s annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona, where she spoke on Hawaiiis first Student Intercultural Exchange Program. fill Ever-Increasing CUSTODIANS Aside from fulfilling the demanding duties of campus maintenance, the custodial staff assisted in decorating for graduation and set up equipment at canteens, assemblies, and athletic events throughout the school year. Head Custodian Masakichi Oshiro, as part of his many duties, drove the band truck to football games and to special orchestra and band concerts.
