MR. WILLIAM T. S. WONG Principal DEDICATION As the principal of Lincoln Elementary School, Robert Louis Stevenson Intermediate School, and Roosevelt High School, Mr. Wil- liam T. S. Wong has accompanied the seniors in their scholastic growth. His devotion to the ideals of education have won him the esteem of the students and faculty. His gracious hospi- tality, quiet authority, and willing assistance lend to the dignity of Roosevelt. Mr. Wong has shown perpetual interest in student government activities by being an ambitious segment of the student council. Since his appointment in 1957, he has achieved a number of beneficial innovations. Roosevelt has acquired a new gym, a senior patio, and an ultra-modern science building. The school's progressive curriculum has expanded to include Japanese, Botany, Electronics, Notehand, and Illinois Math, and the efficiency of the school day itself has been increased with an effective revision in the class schedule. To this man who has been intimately re- lated with Roosevelt's success, who has shown undying interest in and given so much to our Alma Mater, who has instilled school spirit in the hearts and minds of those around him -to Mr. William Wong, the yearbook staff sincerely dedicates this 1962 Round Up. Troubled students confide in their principal, Mr. William Wong. Always genial and understanding, he imparts his wisdom to the many who seek it.
