Included in the staff's activities were monthly SCOOP meetings which first and second year reporters attended. Speakers Bob Krauss, Lois Stewart and Sarah Park from the city papers provided a break in the staff routine. Later in the year, cub reporters toured the Star-Bulietin plant to MRS.
