r X The senior class officers in one ot their not-too-strenuous moments. Lett to right: Ioan Simms, vice-president: Betty Dexter, secretary: Iohn Bellinger, president: 'l'ich Tichenor. first semester treasurer: Sheridan Ing, second semester treasurer. The Class of 1941 Through hard work and determination, the seniors have gained the reputation of being one of the most active and resourceful classes Roosevelt has ever known. Participating in every phase of school activity-dramatics, athletics, and organizations-the unfailing vitality and staunch efforts of the class have succeeded in winning the highest honors in every field. As juniors, the class of '41 won recognition with their sparkling originality in presenting the Sadie Hawkins Dance in place of the usual formal junior prom, which was an all around success. Prominent in Roosevelt politics were student body officers, Robert Chuck, president, Betty Crozier, vice-presidentg Ramsay Sandlin, treasurer, Senior officers lohn Bellinger, Ioan Simms, Betty Dexter, and Tich Tichenor were efficient and trustworthy. Sheridan Ing took over the duties of the class treasurer for the second semester when Tich went away. lean Mueller and Maurice Russell fulfilled campaign promises as councilors. Pershing Lo and Martha Clark took their places for the second semester. Sheriff Peggy Barbour maintained peace and harmony with her deputy force and judges Dick Kuykendall and Doris McCrosson presided over student court. Editors Tsuneko Ogure and Shirley Tudor kept the school informed with a commendable ROUGH RIDER published every Friday.
