During the past year, the junior and senior Roo- sevelt Girl Scouts have continued to heighten their interest in the out-of- doors, serve their fellow man, and, in general, do their partto make the world a better place in which to live. Students Learn Professional Library Techniques Members of the Li- brary Assistants' Club are kept busy mending books, arranging special exhibits and bulletin boards and, in general, making the Roose- velt library a more pleas- ant place in which to read and or study. The service highlight of the year is the Christmas Tea for faculty, student teachers, and the Student Council. Duringthe past year, Sue Hart served as vice-president of the Student Librarian Assist- ants Association of Michi- gan (SLAAM). Under the direction of Mr. Francis Welper, members of the club learn how to service and to operate the audio-visual equipment, thereby facilitating the showing of films and the recording of activities. The club has assumed the re- sponsibility for stage lighting. They service music and drama- tic productions, as well as special assemblies, for both the elemen- tary and the secondary school.
