SOPNOMORES The tenth grade received a warm welcome into the ranks of the upper classmen at the Sophomore Reception, the annual initiation and dance sponsored by the junior class in honor of the sophomores. As its first senior high social duty, the class of 1959 sponsored the an- nual Christmas Party, the Frosty Frolic, Several new activities were added to an already full schedule as the 59'ers discovered speech con- tests and Future Teacher and Future Homemaker clubs. Many sopho- mores contributed to the school paper, THE ROUGH RIDER, while a few of the boys won varsity letters in athletics.
