dedication Miss Mildred Crawford Mr. Lawrence DeBoer To Miss Mildred Crawfordand Mr. Lawrence DeBoer for the many hours of service, the sound advice, and most of all for the patience to bring us through all our trials and tribulations, we, the class of nineteen hundred and fifty-one, dedicate our yearbook, “Summus Collis”.

1925 marked the last year that students of Nor- mal College training school were called Hilltop- pers. The new building was completed then and the Rough Riders were born. Yet the class of ’51 feels that the school’ s position above the rest of the town makes the name of our annual, Summus Collis, still appropriate. We also believe that our climb along the path of learning and living together at Roosevelt has finally reached the top of the hill with the coming of June 1951.
