The leading point getters for the team were Gordon Wallace, John Brand, and Bob Prater with 107, 89, and 73 points respectively. Bob Prater was chosen by his team mates to captain next year’s team. In its second year under Jim Gilster, the Swimming team turned in a creditable 5-5 per- formance. The fellows had to compete almost exclusively against B competition, and paddled home fifth in the state meet. Boys having outstanding dual seasons were Don Potter, undefeated in the backstroke, Tom Oakes, breast stroker and the medley relay team. Tom proved to be the star of the state meet with a second place effort while Larry Gray an- chored the relay team to a similar position. Missed next year by graduation will be Potter, Oakes, Don Whitcomb and Richard Signor. A new captain has not yet been chosen. Relay team: Whitcomb, Potter, Oakes.
