PEP CLUB The Pep Club has been discussing the more im- portant rules of the differ- ent sports so that they may better understand the decisions of the officials at these sporting events. They have also displayed posters illustrating good sportsmanship and arous- ing enthusiasm in the school. BOOK CLUB This group has been ac- tive in sponsoring the or- dering of teen-age books from the Teen-Age Book Club. Anyone in the high school may order books. They have seen some movies during their Club meetings. Among these was The Good Earth . AUTO CLUB The Auto Club is com- posed of the boys inter- ested in the operation and mechanics of the automo- bile. They are purchasing magazines on autos and planning a possible trip to the 500 mile tryouts at Indianapolis this year. They also toured the Studebaker plant at South Bend this year. DRAMATICS CLUB For some time the Dra- matics Club has been put- ting on an annual pro- gram through the applica- tion of the talents of the members. OCTOBER 6-Gwen Bank's party-I know I had a head when I came in. ll-Typing Champion Demonstration-He laughed when he typed at 80 words a minute. ll-Fire Prevention Program-R.E.M.C. and Mr. Phend. 14-Sunshine Girls to Sunshine Council at Crawfordsville. 18-Student Council Program-Rev. lay Johnson- Are You A Sourpuss? 18-Report Cards Out-Ouch! 18-Organ Recital-Carmie Dodd and Senior Class. 21-Band to Butler University-Lookee, Mommy-T. V. 26-27-Teachers' Institute-Hurrah!-No school. 31-Halloween-Check that Impulse! 31-Sunshine Society-Initiation. 31-Braves Council-Ray Eddy spoke on athletics. NOVEMBER 2-Homecoming Pep Rally at Court House with snake dance and a bonfire at Monti Hi-Pat Richardson, Homecoming Queen-Carlita Lane and Carolyn Shell runners up. 4-Sox Hop in gym sponsored by Sunshine Society. 6-Kiwanis Football Banquet at Sportsman Hotel-Ed Van Deman elected Honorary Captain and Elmer Price elected Most Valuable Player. 8-Dress Rehearsal-Four One-Act Plays-lim Clapper almost got hay fever. lO-Fall Play-Cfour one-act playsQ-Lights, Camera, Action! ! 13-C.I.C. Football Banquet at Hartford City. 17-College Day-Guidance Conference-Did you change your mind? 23-26-Thanksgiving Vacation-Pass the Alka-Seltzer. 29-Report Cards-Honest, Pop, I'll do better next time. 30-Vision Test for Sophomores-County Health Nurse. DECEMBER 5-Sunshine Society and Braves Council-Battle of the Sexes-and ah! repeat, mah friends. 7-County Health Nurse-more vision tests. 19-U. N. Collection for Freedom Bell in Berlin-continuous worldwide ringing of bells transcribed over the radio-We hear too!! 19-F.H.A.
