The Monticello High School football squad consisted of 40 boys this year. Monticello lost many of their regulars from last year, thus Coach Frosty Sprowl had to start a lot of new fellows this year. The schedule put before the Indians this year was the toughest yet, because the majority of the teams played were the Central Indiana Conference foes. At the end of the season, when football was over, the scoreboard showed that Monti won one game, tied one, and lost the remaining 7 for a not too successful year.

The Monticello Indians started out with a fine basketball schedule this year, playing many ot the best teams in our district. At the end of the season the scoreboard showed the Indians had won 6 games out of a total of 22, which gave us only a fair season. Most of the boys on the varsity team this year had never had any experience playing varsity ball till this year, which might have held them back in some of their games, but anyway, excluding any excuses we know that the boys did their best all the way.
