Memories A na' Scattered Pictures This year's yearbook theme was 7'7 Changes at Roosevelt. There were many changes in every division of the school. The annual staff was able to find seventy-seven changes to match the year of publication. Some of the changes were small. while others were large, but all helped to make Roosevelt the school it was in the year 1977. ln the Elementary two of the changes occurred in rotation of teachers. The fourth and fifth grade teachers rotated rather than the students, and the first through third rotated too, the first time for either students or teachers. In the lunior High department the P.E. and athletic classes were divided by grade rather than by boys and girls. There were also many changes in the High School. The band had new feature twirlers this year and also brought home a rating from contest for the first time under the guidance of the new band director. The five varsity cheerleaders all graduated for the first time in many years and there was a new school song this year. The gym floor was repainted and the typing classes receivedall new typewriters. Along with the new salad bar and many other new happenings. these were the Changes of '77 . NEW SCHOOL SONG Roosevelt. you mighty Eagles Standing straight and tall We will give our strength to you, We will give our all.
