We have undertaken several means to try to raise money, and have had pretty good success. If things go as planned we will go to Colorado. We have had several parties this year and we all enjoyed them very much. We signed up for the club house for January 1 of 1954 for an ex-senior party. She gently shook the cup, and with a great sigh, began to talk: In the tea leaves,I see a large store-a super-super market-wait-I see a chain of them all over the country owned and operated by Bobby Dodds. And along with that I see Floyd Smith making money in great quantities demonstrating and selling his newest invention-a quiet noisemaker-in Dodds stores. Julia Collep's name next shows in the tea leaves-she seems to be happily engaged in man- aging a household, including three lively youngsters, and doing the bookkeeping for her hus- band's vast cotton estate. Our congressman from this district, who is noted for his eloquent speech making, is none other than Gerald Nixon. Gerald is ably assisted in his great work by his secretary, Mary Ledford, who has risen up the ladder of success and is now head secretary in Washington. My tea leaves now spell out the name nf Timmv Baliosg -ah, Jimmy is being named Mr. Bas- ketball of 1963 by the Herlem Globe Trotters. Jerre Bradshaw has just been given a special assignment by the Highway Department. He will now personally paint all the slow, men working' signs. I seem to hear church music-yes, now I know-it is a church service being conducted in the largest church in New York: the minister is the now famous Brother Wendall Dennis. Brother Dennis has an especially charming and efficient secretary-known far and wide for her unusual ability-could it be---it isg Doris Wallace. There are two of your group who never did stray far from home. Peggy Price is now private secretary to Mr. Williams, and in line to be Superintendent of Schools when Mr, Williams resigns in 1963. Jackie Curry is now foreman of the fleet of 20 busses at Roosevelt School. Lavonne has been awarded the telephone award for the sweetest voice of all operators the country wide. 'I'he cast was made up of every student in the class. We made approximately 8155. We, also, sold Christmas cards and greeting cards. The proceeds from this sale was 5101. We sold these cards for about six weeks. We have plans started for the Junior-Senior banquet and hope it turns out as well as the other things we have undertaken.
